Each pair is individually hand-painted by artisans at Gallery Dept.'s Los Angeles maison. The sturdy yet breathable heavyweight cotton jersey material was chosen specifically as the ideal canvas for calculated splatters of thick paint. 

The Insomnia Shorts feature a relaxed, above-the-knee cut with raw-edged hems, deep pockets, an exposed elastic waistband, and an adjustable internal drawcord for versatility. The Gallery Dept. logo is printed on the thigh, with multicolor paint splatter throughout — no two pairs are exactly alike. 

Reflecting Gallery Dept.'s artistic and artisanal nature, the shorts are manually shortened with a sliced hem and finished with paint splatters hand-done at the brand's Los Angeles maison.
